I didn't make it. To be honest, I didn't really expect to. It was a terrific experience though, and I'm glad I did it. I'll write a bigger blog post later, after I figure out how to get the pics off my cell phone (yeah, we totally forgot a camera!). My DH and I are already talking about trying again next year.
Thanks everyone for your support!

I am proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone. I am glad you had fun.
My daughter and her friend went to Cleveland a couple years a go to try out for the American Idol! I drove them and we slept outside on the concrete mezzanine facing Lake Michigan with the breeze blowing in our faces and bodies laying everywhere with people practicing all night. I loved it.! I looked at it like an adventurebut my daughter only saw it as the "Cattle Call" that it was. Such a shame. We have great pics that I have yet to scrap. Yes as someone said...you do have to step outside your comfort zone but how boring would life be if we didn't. Kudos to you for trying a go for it again. There were 11 judges for 20 some thousand people who auditioned three at a time. Bring in 11 different judges and you will have entirely different results!
